The LMR
is pleased to announce that the LMR prescribing module has successfully
completed the SureScripts® (formerly Rx-Hub) e-Prescribing certification
process.
SureScripts®
is the infrastructure to which technology vendors, pharmacies, payers, and
pharmacy benefits managers (PBMs) connect in order to exchange medication
information electronically according to industry standards.
These
additions to the LMR prescribing module reinforce the growing importance of
e-prescribing as a way to improve the safety, accuracy and efficiency of the
prescribing process and will provide LMR users with more information at the
point of care to determine the most clinically appropriate and cost effective
medication for their patient.
With the
completion of this work the LMR meets one of the most important criteria for
federal e-prescribing incentives.
The
LMR is poised to roll out the new e-Rx functionality on November 13th, features
